Branded Content Policies On Social Media

We Are Teachers is thrilled to be partnering with you on this sponsored program. As part of our promotion efforts, we will lean heavily on our vibrant social media channels to support your sponsored content. We follow all branded content policies set forth by individual social media platforms, which are detailed below.

Branded content on social media is defined as a partnership where a publisher (We Are Teachers) produces social media content in exchange for payment or products from a client.

Facebook and Instagram

On Facebook and Instagram, branded content may only be posted with the use of the branded content tool. The We Are Teachers Facebook page must use the branded content tool to tag your Facebook page in all organic and paid posts.

Approving Paid Partnership on an Instagram Reel

If your program includes an Instagram Reel, your Instagram channel will be tagged as a paid partner in the post. Once the Reel goes live, please use the following steps to accept the partnership tag.

  1. Go to your Instagram profile.
  2. Click the 3 lines in the top right.
  3. Click settings and privacy.
  4. Use the search bar to find branded content.
  5. Click approve content creators.
  6. Approve We Are Teachers as a partner.

What if Your Brand Doesn’t Have a Facebook or Instagram Page?

If you don’t have a brand page, Facebook recommends you create one that we can properly tag. If you are unable to create one, we will proceed with promotion on other channels like X and Pinterest.

X

On X, all organic and paid tweets that are sponsored must comply with FTC regulations by including either the hashtag #sponsored or #ad as the first one listed. We Are Teachers will also tag your X handle if it exists.

Pinterest

Currently, Pinterest does not have set guidelines for tagging sponsors. Our approach to partner pins is to reflect who We Are Teachers is as a brand and to tag your Pinterest channel if it exists.
