As a man who derives from the Apache tribal heritage, Paul Flores IV takes great pride in his diverse background and is passionate about preserving and celebrating his native traditions. From a young age, Flores has felt a strong calling to make a positive impact on the world, which led him to pursue a career in education. Flores holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. Since 2005, he has worked tirelessly as a teacher, sharing his knowledge and experience with students ranging from pre-K to middle school. His expertise spans a wide array of subjects, from computer science to photography. Notably, Flores played a pivotal role in establishing a leadership team of teachers at the prestigious Monticello Academy in the San Francisco Bay Area, showcasing his exceptional organizational and mentorship skills. Flores also served as a board member for P.A.A.W., a non-profit organization in partnership with Stanford Medicine, where he used his platform to raise awareness and promote wellness among his people through a Native American Diabetes Prevention program. Moreover, he has led numerous presentations on Native American culture at various school and public venues, ensuring that the rich heritage of this land is celebrated and understood by all. Flores has also worked alongside Arizona PBS as a Professional Development Teacher at Arizona Western College with a focus on classroom management. His teaching prowess is further exemplified by his time at Harvest Preparatory Academy in Arizona, where he and a colleague produced the highest state scores in the history of the three Harvest Prep campuses. Most recently, Flores has been teaching fourth-grade science and social studies, where he is thrilled to share his deeply rooted native culture with his students.
