The Best Protein Ball Recipe for Teachers

More energy? Um, yes please!

Teachers needs all the energy they can get. Say hello to your new favorite protein ball recipe!

I asked one of my favorite chefs, Krysta of Simple Eats, to put together a recipe for teachers that will help give them an extra boost throughout the day. These are perfect for breakfast, that afternoon pick-me-up, or even when you realize at 1 o’clock that you forgot to eat lunch (does this happen to anyone else?!). They are packed full of good things. Plus, you can substitute ingredients to really customize it to your personal taste.

Protein Ball Recipe for Teachers

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients together. If you want to substitute any ingredients, this is the time to do it. You can also experiment a bit. Think of it like a trail mix—add in your favorite good eats!

Step 2

Once everything is thoroughly mixed, refrigerate for at least 20 minutes. You can also refrigerate longer or overnight; this will make it easier to roll.

Step 3

Take a small chunk of your mixture and roll it into a ball. Tip: Use a cookie spoon for consistency. Continue until all your mixture is used up. Keep refrigerated until you’re ready to eat one! They’ll stay fresh in the fridge for 7-10 days.

You can see how the recipe all came together in this video. And please, steal the recipe card below!
